Ibhekile - an ode to women, heritage and culture

This Heritage Month, local author, Faith Mtyida-Ngandi launched her poetry book, Ibhekile on Saturday, 18 September 2021 at Amazwi South African Museum of Literature.

Ibhekile is a celebration of the isiXhosa language, a platform to honour heroines such as Charlotte Maxeke and a motivation tool for females to know their worth, and be a new breed of women who will build each other.

The launch was attended by the likes of Mhlobo Wenene FM's Tozama "Sis Toz" Ngcongolo, Host of Khanya Gqiyazana.
