Refurbishments at Mansfield Private Game Reserve

“It’s modern and elegant, and the best place to disconnect and relax,” said River Hotels Director, Justin Bester as he showed off the Mansfield Game Reserve to a group of media and tourism stakeholders recently.
We visited Mansfield Game Reserve to look at the revamped self-catering cottage which was an original farmhouse. It is located at Mansfield Game Reserve, a few kilometres outside Makhanda, and is great for family or business retreats. According to the site tour hosts, River Hotels Director, Justin Bester and Mansfield Game Reserve General Manager, Werner Erasmus the new renovations were done to make the main lodge a bit modern and elegant. The new revamped lodge is suitable for a group of people travelling together or as a family, it has everything needed including a newly revamped spacious kitchen.
We proceeded from the Main lodge to Eagles Nest Cabin, which is not far away from where we arrived, the journey was breath-taking, we saw beautiful animals along the way. The Cabin has a distinctive rustic attribute called the “donkey” which is an old-fashioned water heating method.
The cabin is the best place to disconnect and relax, imagine waking up to panoramic views of the Kowie River! Well, you can at the Eagle’s Nest Cabin located at Mansfield Game Reserve. If you are lucky, you could even spot majestic giraffes just outside your window!
