Take a cultural shot'left to Makhanda and enjoy a long weekend of dance, arts and crafts, local cuisine, live entertainment and so much more! Here is a glimpse of the action:

 

We Are Still Marching: Thursday, 24 February and Friday, 25 February:

The popular dance production, 'We Are Still Marching' by Moving into Dance is coming to the Guy Butler Theatre at the 1820 Settlers Monument on Thursday, 24 February at 3pm and Friday, 25 February at 6:30pm.

'We Are Still Marching' is a magnificent celebration of women, their lives and their commitment, and promises an exciting, unforgettable experience for all lovers of dance!

Please note, there is no ticket fee for the show but donations in support of the Siphumelele Youth Foundation are encouraged.

 

Makana Tourism's Brand Launch: Two Day Food and Craft Market: Saturday, 26 and Sunday, 27 February 2022.

Makana Tourism will be launching its new brand identity and will celebrate this milestone with all good things that reflect the Makana region.

You can enjoy several activities at the market which include:

Over 40 stalls of arts and crafters;

An art exhibition;

Thrift shopping;

A food court and bar with diverse cuisine and drinks;

Jumping castles;

Quad bike train rides;

Live music from the Makhanda Marimba Band and Ntsika Secondary Choir, CANSA Shaveathon and so much more!

And for the car enthusiasts, the Kelston Volkswagen Grahamstown will display the newest VW and Renault vehicles!

 

Be Brave Mzansi Dance Challenge: Saturday, 26 February 2022

We are challenging you to join us for a Be Brave Dance off from 11am to 2.30pm! This fun activity will allow us to get together and explore new experiences in the historic and creative City of Makhanda.
