African Languages Week (ALW), takes place from 21 February to 28 February 2025. The event, under the auspices of African
Academy of Languages (ACALAN) an institution of the African Union (AU) will be virtual.

The week will end with an online poetry reading hosted by Amazwi.
Join them for an hour or so of poetry in African Languages. You are welcome to read your own poetry, or the work of other poets that you like.
If you wish to include an English translation of the poem you can, but it is not a requirement.
This will be an open mic, but to assist with scheduling if you would like to read you can send your name and the language you will read to Crystal Warren at c.warren@amazwi.museum
The event will be on Zoom and will be livestreamed to the Amazwi Facebook page.
